Springfield, Missouri, is the county seat of Greene County, the 3rd largest city in the state of Missouri, and is the regional center serving south central Missouri and northern Arkansas. The area is rated to be the fastest growing metro area in Missouri.
The area enjoys a plateau climate with slightly warmer temperatures in summer, when compared to the rest of the state. Normal or average temperatures range from 24 degrees in the winter to 87 degrees in the summer.
